Our Teen UX Graduates Shine at Black History Month Event

This October, AIENAI Academy had the privilege of joining an inspiring Black History Month (BHM) event at Queen Mary’s College in Basingstoke, UK, attended by distinguished guests, including the Mayor and Mayoress of Basingstoke and other local leaders. The event brought together a vibrant community eager to celebrate innovation and achievements, and our talented students took centre stage with a project that showcased their dedication to design and user experience.

For the past two weeks, three young students from our Teen UX Design program have been exploring the world of UX Design. This journey led them to create Kidstagram —an app entirely shaped by their creativity with guidance from their tutors. Kidstagram’s development was the students’ own work, from picking their favourite typography, colours, icons etc all these to make up the beautiful user interface of their mobile app.

As they stood before the audience, the students confidently shared what they had learned from the Program. They received their certificates of participation from AIENAI Academy, celebrating their dedication and creativity—a testament to the impressive growth and skill these young designers achieved in such a short time.

AIENAI Academy is incredibly proud of our first Teen UX cohort. With the success of this program, we're more motivated than ever to expand and continue nurturing young talent in UX design. As we prepare for Cohort 2, we’re excited to see how these young designers will bring fresh ideas and learn to design mobile apps from scratch using industry-standard tools.

The journey of our Teen UX students is just beginning, and we look forward to seeing their impact on the UX landscape in the years to come. If you’re a parent, teacher, or young designer eager to join our next cohort, we welcome you to learn more about our Teen UX Design Program.
