The Graphic & UI Designer will be responsible for translating user requirements into visually stunning and intuitive user interfaces. You will provide support and collaborate closely with our cross-functional team, including product managers, developers, and other designers across several projects to create designs that enhance the overall user experience.

This is a contract position. However, you may be converted to full-time based on the duration of other projects

This role is remote first but you may be required to come into office on occasion as necessary for events or workshops (will not be frequent).



CORE RESPONSIBILITIES


By partnering with cross-functional teams and customers, you will translate insights into delightful products in a creative environment. The role will require you to:


  • Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand project goals and user requirements.

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications.

  • Translate requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns and attractive user interfaces.

  • Ensure designs adhere to brand guidelines and contribute to the overall visual identity of our products.

  • Support the Creative team’s execution and delivery of compelling campaigns through the use of various design solutions across digital, social, experiential, offline media and beyond.

  • Support internal design and creative needs, including social media marketing, internal newsletters, and other company assets.

  • Build storyboards to conceptualise designs and convey project plans to clients and management.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to bring fresh ideas to the design process.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements


  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask

  • Experience creating storyboards and site mapping

  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture

  • Familiarity with relevant design and collaboration tools such as Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Sketch, Adobe Creative, Miro, Figma, Notion, etc.

  • Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices.

  • A flair for creative thinking and problem-solving, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a simple and user-friendly manner.

  • Meticulous proofreading and editing skills to ensure error-free content.

  • Openness to feedback and a willingness to iterate and improve content based on user and team feedback.

  • A good grasp of design programs and tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Canva is also necessary.



Education/Experience Requirements


  • BSc degree in any relevant field

  • Proven experience as a UI Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
